SpaceX Cargo Rocket Passes Critical Firing Test | Video

Monday, October 1, 2012 - 13:30 in Astronomy & Space

In preparation for the first official commercial cargo flight to the Space Station (full cargo load - first SpaceX flight to ISS was a test flight), the Falcon 9 Merlin engines were fired at full power for 2 seconds in a captive 'hold down' test.
