Prodigal plankton species makes first known migration from Pacific to Atlantic via Pole

Scientists say the melting Arctic has opened a Northwest Passage for Pacific species to enter the Atlantic, including a tiny plankton, unseen in the Atlantic for 800,000 years -- a return unwelcome due to its impact on the marine food web.
