Wind farm off Cape Cod approved

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is set to announce the decision to grant federal permits for the controversial, long-delayed Cape Wind project, which will place 130 turbines in Nantucket Sound. The Obama administration has approved a long-delayed, highly controversial offshore wind project off Cape Cod, Mass., a source briefed on the matter said Wednesday morning.
