All cases of gestational diabetes should be treated, study finds

Even when women have only mild increases in blood-sugar levels, treatment results in fewer C-sections for mothers, and more normal weights and less trauma at birth for babies. To improve the health of both mother and baby, even women with mild gestational diabetes should receive treatment, researchers now say -- helping resolve a long-standing dilemma in obstetrics.
