Nanoparticle could extend food shelf life

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. researchers say a nanoparticle can hold and release an antimicrobial agent, extending the shelf life of foods susceptible to Listeria contamination.
