Mars rover will embark on two-year trek

The rover, called Opportunity, has already survived far longer than anyone expected after it landed on Mars in January 2004. Now JPL scientists plan to send it to a giant crater seven miles away. Four years into its mission to explore the surface of Mars, one of NASA's twin rovers, Opportunity, is about to set out on a do-or-die trek to a giant crater about seven miles away.
