Ancient Romans were parasite riddled despite sanitation measures

An analysis of parasite levels in samples gathered throughout the ancient Roman Empire and other historical sites shows that despite their complex sanitation infrastructure, Romans had as many parasites as their Bronze and Iron Age and medieval counterparts.
