Caspian terns found breeding 1,000 miles farther north than previous record

Brooks HaysFAIRBANKS, Alaska, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- In 2016, Alaska's Caspian terns abandoned their normal breeding grounds for beaches inside the Arctic Circle -- 1,000 miles farther north than ever before.
