Bioactive peptides found to promote wound healing

Newly identified bioactive peptides promote wound healing through the growth of new blood vessels and epithelial tissue. These wound-healing peptides increased angiogenesis in vitro by 200 percent. The discovery may lead to new therapies for acute and chronic wound healing.
