Lagoon Nebula is a Sea of Starbirth | Video

110 light-years across and 5000 lights year from Earth, the Lagoon Nebula (M8, NGC 6523) is one of just two star-forming regions  visible to the unaided eye from the northern hemisphere. Europe's VLT Survey Telescope in Chile capture these images.
