Minke whales are predominant prey of killer whales in Northwest

The ecology of the orcas that live around Newfoundland and Labrador has been the focus of recent research. About 200 killer whales are believed to live in the area, most of which are seen in the summer months, says a researcher. Her work shows that minke whales are the predominant prey of killer whales in the area.
