More action needed to prevent stomach problems in NSAID users, despite recent progress

Four out of ten high-risk patients prescribed nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs also received appropriate measures to prevent upper-gastrointestinal problems, but the remainder did not receive adequate protection. The study covered more than 50,000 patients aged 50 plus, analyzing prescribing trends over an 11-year period.
