Mammograms found to be less crucial in preventing deaths

Routine mammography reduced the death rate by no more than 10% in Norway, researchers find. Its importance has been diminished by advances in breast cancer treatment and awareness.Recent advances in breast cancer awareness and treatment have made routine mammography less crucial in detecting cancer and mitigated its value in reducing deaths, researchers reported Wednesday.
