Lawrence Berkeley scientists confirm element 114 finding

First seen 10 years ago in Russia, it's the heaviest element seen in more than one lab. Unfortunately, its instability limits its potential usefulness. Ten years after Russian scientists first reported it, researchers at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have confirmed the existence of element 114, the heaviest element ever seen in more than one laboratory.
