Thunderstorms linked to more than 3,000 ER visits a year in seniors with asthma, COPD

Thunderstorms were associated with an additional 50,000 emergency room visits for older adults with asthma and COPD in the United States between 1999 and 2012, according to a study published by JAMA Internal Medicine.
