Kibo Commander: Koichi Wakata Becomes 1st Japanese to Command Space Station

The International Space Station has its first Japanese commander, Koichi Wakata of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. 'I am humbled to assume command of the space station,' Wakata said during a ceremony on board the orbiting outpost.
