Researchers Find Law Mandating Care for People With Severe Mental Illnesses Helps Reduce Violence

(PhysOrg.com) -- A team of Columbia University researchers has determined that mandatory outpatient treatment for people with severe mental illnesses has led to a drop in violent behavior. The study was published in February in the journal Psychiatric Services.
