UAB Launches New Schizophrenia Studies Targeting Glutamate

UAB has received two grants totaling $3.9 million from the NIH to examine the role of the neurotransmitter glutamate in schizophrenia. Glutamate is linked to schizophrenia, but the nature of the link is unknown.
