Statewide earthquake drill planned

The 2011 ShakeOut begins at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, when participants will drop, cover and hold. Drills will also be held in Canada and Guam.More than 8 million Californians are expected to participate in a statewide earthquake drill at 10:20 a.m. Thursday.
