Brain cortex thinning linked to inherited depression

The brains of people with a family history of depression look and work differently that those of others, according to a study that offers insight into the disease's progression. Even before the sadness settles in, the brains of people with a family history of depression look different and work differently than those of people with no depressive family history, researchers have found.
