Violations cited in Georgia peanut butter factory

Federal authorities investigating the nationwide salmonella outbreak identify 12 instances in which the plant found some type of salmonella. Inspectors found several violations of good manufacturing practices in the Georgia peanut butter factory at the center of an investigation into a nationwide salmonella outbreak that has sickened hundreds of people, federal officials said Tuesday.
