Spacecraft on hottest mission to the sun named after living solar wind researcher

The Parker Solar Probe, named after the astrophysicist who predicted the existence of a solar wind nearly six decades ago, will speed toward the sun at almost 700,000 km/h and hit temperatures of more than 1,300 C.
