Tiny sensors let smartphone users monitor their homes

A Toronto-area company named WiMoto is pre-selling a series of stamp-sized sensors that connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth to let you remotely monitor the environment in your home and garden. Technology columnist Jessie Hirsh proposes what you can do with that kind of do-it-yourself environmental surveillance.
