Lyme disease: Tiny tick, big problem

Lyme disease was unknown in Canada up until the 1980s. Initially, it was identified only at Long Point and Point Pelee, Ont. - which is the farthest south you can get in Canada. The Public Health Agency of Canada says the ticks that carry Lyme disease have been found in other parts of southern Ontario as well as Nova Scotia, Manitoba and British Columbia.
