Manitoba spending close to $5.7M on ER improvements

The government of Manitoba is spending nearly $5.7 million to improve the service in the province's busiest emergency rooms. The funding will go towards hiring more front-line staff in the busiest ERs, appointing a provincial advisor on emergency patient care, and conducting a series of renovations at hospitals to enhance patient care, Health Minister Theresa Oswald announced Thursday.
