Opioid, heroin overdose deaths drop by 4% in the U.S., CDC says

Overall overdose death rates across the country dropped by 4.1 percent from 2017 to 2018, with heroin- and prescription opioid-related deaths falling by 4 and 13.5 percent, according to the latest government figures.
