Engineers hike hydraulic pump efficiency

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- U.S. engineers say they've found a way to cut fuel consumption and dramatically improve hydraulic pump and motor efficiency in heavy construction equipment.
