NASA Seeks Partners to Save SOFIA Flying Telescope

The space agency issued a request for information on Monday in an attempt to find partners who wish to use the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, a modified Boeing 747 jet that scans the heavens using an 8.2-foot-wide telescope.
