Comet ISON Spotted by Mercury Probe, Sun Observatory Ahead of Thursday Solar Encounter

NASA's Messenger spacecraft snapped new images of Comet ISON on Nov. 19 as the object sped by Mercury. Meanwhile, a phalanx of sun-studying probes will watch ISON's close encounter with the sun on Thursday (Nov. 28).
