Discovery of genetic mutations better diagnose myelodysplastic syndromes

Researchers have developed a means of improving prognosis methods and predicting how long patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) will live after diagnosis by identifying certain gene mutations in their abnormal bone marrow.
