Pediatric asthma: Omalizumab appears promising, study suggests

A new study may advance asthma treatment and outcomes, specifically for inner-city children and teens. Researchers found that the traditional spike in asthma attacks found in the fall, which is associated with colds and other viral airway infections, disappeared in the kids given the medication omalizumab.
