Increased on-site programming will benefit inmates' return to society

To improve inmates' chances for success in the community upon release from prison, a researcher recommends the New Jersey Department of Corrections adopt a policy of universal re-entry preparedness during each inmate's mandatory minimum term and increase on-site programming, which can be less costly than halfway house programs.
