NASA gives up on Mars rover Spirit recovery

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - NASA is giving up on recovering its Mars rover Spirit, which it said likely fell victim to the planet's frigid winter after seven years of work, officials said on Tuesday.
