Agricultural pest is targeted in Santa Clarita Valley

Oriental fruit flies pose a threat to fruits and vegetables. About 600 bait stations have been placed across the area where the insects were found.State agricultural officials have declared war on the Oriental fruit fly in the Santa Clarita Valley after five flies were trapped there over two days last month.
