Jet Propulsion Lab ushers in new year with moon-mapping project

Jet Propulsion Lab's GRAIL project will study the moon's gravitational field in hopes of learning more about the origins of Earth and the solar system.At the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Cañada Flintridge, the New Year's celebration will have to wait — until 2:05 p.m. Sunday, to be exact.
