Rig mechanic says BP was in a rush despite problems

In Washington, a clamor grows for tougher action against the agency that polices drilling. Hours before the fatal accident that sank the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, workers for the rig's owner quarreled with BP officials who wanted to finish the drilling job despite problems, a mechanic told a Coast Guard committee in Louisiana on Wednesday.
