It is unclear whether the Tories will gain a parliamentary majority in the closest race in a generation. Liberal Democrats may land the role of kingmaker. Vote-counting in Britain's closest election for a generation edged into the early hours of Friday with the opposition Conservatives on track to win the most seats in Parliament, ending 13 years of Labor Party rule.
