Ovarian cancer surgery doesn't have to end fertility

For younger patients whose disease is at an early stage, five-year survival rates are the same whether doctors remove both ovaries or only the cancerous one, a study finds. Young women diagnosed with an early stage of ovarian cancer may be able to have surgery for the disease without losing their fertility.
