Balancing the Brain: "Master Switch" Identified

Researchers at Children's Hospital Boston have identified a "master switch," called Npas4, that orchestrates the formation and maintenance of inhibitory synapses in the brain. The finding could yield insight into new treatment for disorders like epilepsy, autism and schizophrenia.
