Carnivorous pitcher plants are only part-time killers

Brooks HaysBRISTOL, Conn., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Scientists in England found that carnivorous pitcher plants turned off their trapping mechanism for up to eight hours a day in order to trap more ants.
