Researchers led by Prof. Qi Xiaoquan from the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have systematically demonstrated that pollen coat biosynthesis and transport are complex processes involving compartmentalized biosynthesis, coordinated transport, and precise regulation between organelles and cell types.
