International team explores the origin of elements

Understanding the origin of elements in nature is one of the outstanding questions in science. A collaboration between nuclear astrophysicists from Technical University Darmstadt and Michigan State University nuclear physicists found that features of nuclear interactions make an imprint on how the heaviest elements in the Universe are created.
