After 18 months of quiet effort, a committee of scholars from within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) released a set of three reports this week on teaching the arts and humanities at Harvard College. The lengthiest one, "Mapping the Future," is a 70-page analysis of what the trends are, what the stakes are, and what steps the future requires.
