The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is requesting comments on new draft guidelines for securing BIOS systems for server computers. BIOSBasic Input/output Systemis the first major software that runs when a computer starts up. Both obscure and fundamental, the BIOS has become a target for hackers.
