Genetic Data Shows That Skin Cancer Risk Includes More Than UV Exposure

Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, have developed a more precise model for assessing skin cancer risk that includes numerous genetic factors such as family history, ethnicity, and genetic variations specific to each individual, and is published in the December 2012 issue of journal GENETICS.
