Lab-Grown Esophagus Could Aid Cancer Patients

Researchers have grown an esophagus, which brings food and water to the stomach, in a lab, and found the organ functioned as needed when implanted into rats. This research could someday help people with esophageal cancer, or injuries to the esophagus.
