Autism diagnoses on the rise, study finds

Authors of the government report say the increase, from 1.2% to a record 2%, is probably a result of better detection – not a growing environmental cause.U.S. schoolchildren are being diagnosed with some form of autism at a record rate of 1 in 50, according to a new government study.
