No evidence hydroxychloroquine beneficial for treating COVID-19, could be harmful, study suggests

Researchers examining data from nearly 15,000 COVID-19 patients have found no evidence that taking hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine provides any treatment benefits and may be linked to an increased risk of serious heart complications, but randomized clinical trials are urgently needed for a definitive answer.
