Astronomers panning for cosmic gold find 'red nugget' galaxies

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Unusually small galaxies densely packed with red stars in the distant, young universe may shed light on the evolutionary path of galaxies, U.S. astronomers say.
