Annual uplift of Sierra Nevadas measured

RENO, Nev., May 4 (UPI) -- Scientists say California's Sierra Nevada Mountains, from 14,000-foot Mt. Whitney to Lake Tahoe's 10,000-foot peaks, are rising at a relatively fast rate.
